Whilst the forced break has been a low point for Download and the entire festival calendar, the team have been busy working away on a series of site improvements to ensure that once returned to full capacity they'll be delivering the best experience possible.
Many of the site improvements have occurred as a result of listening to it's loyal fanbase. In summary you can expect the below in 2022:
- The Village has moved closer to the Arena.
- The Village will also now be located across hard-standing ground.
- In 2022, Download will be partnering with Trees For Cities as well as introducing Circular Camping which includes upcycled tents and camping equipment.
- Walking distances decreased due to relocation for all campsites.
- East Car Park now added to the site.
- Download punters to decide the new campsite names! More info to follow...
There's not long to go now. Download Festival 2022 is set to take place across the weekend of 10th-12th June. There are limited tickets still available, head to https://downloadfestival.co.uk/ for purchases. Always ensure you are buying via official outlets.
