A Day Overdue - Heroes and Villains

A Day Overdue has been making their presence known in the music industry for less than a year. Yet, in that time they have released one EP and are now releasing their second titled ‘Heroes and Villains’. As if that wasn’t enough, they are being nice enough to give it away for free.

The EP consists of four amazing tracks. First up is the vibrant ‘Kiss and Tell’. This poppy song has incredibly strong vocals and harmonies. Next up is ‘A Work of Heart,’ a song to get the tonsils yelling at. It is incredibly catchy and has a chorus to sing a long with. ‘Your Star’ is slower and a little more melodic in nature. ‘Scream!’ is the closer and is just, if not more magnificent than those that came before it; it is a real stunner.

Each of the four tracks sounds live and gives you a sense of what A Day Overdue are able to achieve when on stage. These five Scottish lads may be inexperienced in the industry as a band, but you would never believe it to listen to them play and sing what they have written. They play like they have been bouncing around for years, creating some remarkable pop punk songs. If you like the sound of these track, which can be downloaded here watch out for the band out and about in a city near you soon.

Congratulations go out to Rob Walker, Dan Morrison, Ally Millar, Graeme Tait and Stephen McKie on fashioning an energetic and very enjoyable record - ‘Heroes and Villains’ is a must have.
