Pegasus Bridge - While We're Young

Having built up a solid reputation as a buzz band, which has led to airplay on Radio One, pop-rockers Pegasus Bridge have already achieved great success for a group who have, until now, only released one single.

With the launch of their debut record 'While We're Young' imminent, it's unlikely the hype surrounding this band is going to die down anytime soon, and it's easy to see why.

The seven-track mini album, which is released on November 1, is an incredibly likeable record that sees the feisty four-piece unveil their contagiously catchy pop-rock anthems.

Reminiscent of both The Kooks and Kids In Glass Houses, Pegasus Bridge have got a splendidly sweet sound which could potentially earn them mainstream fame.

Album opener and lead single off the record 'Ribena' is a bouncy synth-laden track with an incredibly quirky chorus "Don't you forget that I'm still the same boy/But now I drink coffee, not just Ribena/And I like it, I like it." Bursting with lively lyrics and bubbly beats, the light-hearted song is extremely attractive and appealing.

Similarly satisfying is title-track 'While We're Young', with its marvellous melody and vivacious vocals, the song could quite easily be released as the next single and achieve substantial success.

The Manchester quartet - comprised of Ed Turner (vocals/guitar), Callum Roxborough (keys/synths/vocals), Alex Howick (bass) and Tom Lynam (drums) - have a natural flair when it comes to songwriting and churn out hit after hit on this mini-album. Standout songs that particularly highlight the band's tremendous talent include the deliciously danceable 'Dogs' and indie anthem 'Violence'.

However, it is album closer 'Paris' that proves to be the most poignant of tracks, ending their remarkable record on an immense high. The emotional love/hate song, which features mellow guitars, simple yet beautiful keys and honest and heartfelt words, showcases the band's softer side and is undoubtedly the strongest tune on their debut.

'While We're Young' is an exceptionally enjoyable mini-album from the pop-rockers. Packed with infectious hooks, witty lyrics and massive melodies, this seven-track record is guaranteed to gain Pegasus Bridge an army of new fans (and more airplay on Radio One!)
