The Spins - Never Let It Go
Italian pop rock outfit The Spins all began when female drummer Alessia Mattalia made the decision to put a band together. She was able to get on board keyboardist and composer Marcello Giordano, French bassist Silvia Cernicchiaro, guitarist Mario Pignatelli and lead vocalist Michelangelo Alesso and the band began.
Having already toured the UK twice, Never Let It Go is the energy driven single to make people notice them when they return to our shores later in the year. This single is fairly upbeat, but not so much so that it is ready to pierce your ear drums with some deafening sharp guitars; it is mellow and easy on the ears. It opens with keys tapping, quickly adding guitar melodies. The remarkable thing is how the keys remain constant throughout the tune and never subside making it one of the songs most attractive attributes. As the vocals chime in things instantly elevate to new levels with some beautiful and passionate tones, really making the lyrics stand out and not become overshadowed by the music.
Each element to this song - vocals, keys, melodies etc. - are able to draw a listener in that little bit more and really makes the song a great tune to hear.
