Stunning Follow Up Album

In the music business it is acknowledged that the hardest of all albums to produce is your second, but this Chicago four-piece have excelled and given the world a brilliant album in 'From Under The Cork Tree'. With this follow up to their debut album 'Take This To Your Grave', Fall Out Boy have continued with their highly catchy punk-emo sound; every tune a foot stomping moment.

This album is very much in the same vain as their debut album, but more production seems to have taken place, as their rawness has gone. This is a very polished album, but fortunately not over-produced. You can tell their debut album was a success with the arrogance/humour they use in the names of some of the songs such as 'Our Lawyer Made Us Change The Name Of This Song So We Wouldn't Get Sued'.

The great thing about this album is that it is fast paced and that it keeps up from the start, with great drum beats and excellent guitar riffs, you can easily loose yourself in the album. There are some fantastic tracks on the album and I'm sure people will disagree with my choices, but I love '7 Minutes In Heaven', and I can't get the catchy tune 'Dance, Dance' out of my head. It really is hard to pick out tunes as they are all of a high standard.

It is easy to see why on this performance that Rolling Stone Magazine has tipped Fall Out Boy as one of the ten artists to watch. This is an album that is literally packed from beginning to end with energetic, catchy punk anthems. If you love punk or emo then this is an album for you – go out and buy it today.
