Do not be fooled by the ballad style opening to ‘Dirty,’ the third single to be taken from Plastic Toy’s debut album ‘For Tonight Only’ as there is much more hidden within.
This is an anxious and very dirty tune about the heartache of having a threesome with two-lady friends. It may aim to be a little rude in its lyrics, but the chorus is actually very catchy nevertheless. Even though the tune powers up the occasional more sentimental ballad part at times, it is by all means the explosion of the solid rock centre and accompanying dance beat that you cannot help but mumble along to no matter how hard you know you shouldn’t.
Making us all that little bit more sordid, even though many of you probably don’t need it, ‘Dirty’ is a song you can’t help but be impressed by. The previously unreleased b-side ‘Radio’ is yet more to enjoy.
