Here Comes Summer

Steeped in the sound of the 60’s and 70’s Naylor’s sound is slightly surf-pop, slightly psychedelic but despite moments with an almost epic sweeping quality, at the core he is a singer songwriter with a 12-string guitar and a decent voice.

This track has plenty of charm and a great summer pop melody, don’t be fooled though because it will suddenly break open and give you something that takes you by surprise; quirky changes of tempo and rhythm, Beach Boys-esque ‘oohs’ and strangely understated (but at the same time quite thrilling) moments where the noise swells and above all his voice is fantastic and carries everything he tries with ease.

Warm, inviting and nicely quirky, a great track; well produced and well executed. This one will keep you in a summer mood even when the weather lets you down.
