Foot stomping beats
London mob Minerva Falls are quite an interesting prospect; a real mix of styles converge on 'In The Presence of Fallen Angels' but the overall sound is really cohesive, melodic alt-rock with a slight 90s grunge twang, loads of variety in the guitar, some nicely heavy sections and vocally really strong with a good range. A great tune to rock out to. 'Whisky Is My Poison' has a rock n roll edge and a memorable melody, foot-stompingly good beats, chunky riffs and again, those powerful vocals. Two cracking rock tunes from a band just starting out, and well worth a listen. The two tracks are available to buy now from itunes and you can check out a selection on their myspace.
