Melodic Rock
Minerva Falls heavy, foot stomping but melodic sound makes a welcome return on this EP and again they show off a variety of styles, playing with your expectations; 'Jupiter's Revenge' has a chunky base with nice metal-style guitars and then a great melodic riff comes in, somehow they make it all gel. 'Raptor' has a grunge feel, and again there's a great main riff, it's slightly reminiscent of Pearl Jam at times this one but there's more going on here ( P.J. were never this playful), the mood is quite dark and moody and the vocals really take off towards the end packing more of an emotional punch. 'Reject Your Apathy' has a classic rock feel, duel vocals and harmonies adding depth, this is a cracking tune, almost a ballad but luckily without the cheese.
