ACTIONS! - South Of The Water
Although bassist Mat and guitarist Ryan have been jamming together since secondary school and joined by drummer Moz back in 2008, it has taken some time to find the right vocalist to complete the ACTIONS! line-up. Success came late last year however when they finally found Emily, the right singer to top off the songs and ACTIONS! was ready to be unleashed.
South of the Water is the bands current single. It opens with a focus on the beautiful soaring female vocal and then incorporates rocking guitar melodies and a catchy little beat. Although the chorus is fairly bouncy and there is a moment that builds up expectations and suspense, it doesn't really explode with anything memorable. Although an easy on the ears pop rock tune, South of the Water doesn't shine as bright as the bonus track One Minute Smile which is far more upbeat, lively and punchy. Having already supported the likes of Paige, Not Advised and Inme, hopefully their own shows give listeners a little more insight into ACTIONS!
