Already securing a supporting slot on Muses current tour, Meeky Rosie are on a mission to steal the headliners crown as the best band out of Devon, and given time they may just sneak in and do it.
A frantic and frenzied barrage of guitars propels the start of 'Nobody Gets Away', suggesting that this is a track that is going to pound you with an onslaught of heavy rock. Think again. As Paul Knight-Malciak's vocals creep in on the act, 'Nobody Gets Away' suddenly softens, gaining lush harmonies that rise and fall perfectly, allowing the track to pack enough of a kick to please but retaining a gentler impassioned stance to thrust the song to epic proportions. Its shoegazing with a lively beat and soaring atmospheric choruses thrown in for good measure, proving that indie groups can pull off the big power chords to great effect.
