This debut single from Answers on Postcards doesn't only show the guys' musical and vocal ability, but also their talent in writing a damn good indie rock track. Hailing from Stoke, this four-piece cite their influences as the Kinks, the Thrills, and the Bluetones and this can certainly be heard in this single, 'Confidence in a Can'.
This upbeat tune has all the elements of a hit track. It has a catchy opening with handclaps that will get a live crowd joining in with for sure, and dancing and singing along to. The catchy guitar riffs make way for a great chorus intro. This will defiantly have fans at gigs jumping around. The vocals of Lee Broomfield sound superb, even a little out of breath sometimes with all the effort that has gone into the track. All in all, this is a song that will set way for an album of soft rock, indie, alternative rock if you like, tunes that will blow your mind. If this song, and the second track on the single, 'Bad Luck Charm', is anything to go by, Answers on Postcards are going to be winning their way into minds all over the world of music.
