The best rock you could ask for, from a British-Rock duo
For a two-piece this band can make an immense sound: Mellotron Overdrive's sound sprouts of Metal, funk, punk and dirty disco.
The EP opens with title track "Inquasionable" a shit-hot rock song demonstrating the huge talent this band have at their fingertips. A simply to-die-for drumbeat, soaring guitar and incredible vocals are the ingredients of this truly exceptional track. It sets high standard for the remainder of the EP, a standard that is maintained.
"Public Relations" is a fantastically funky rock song. This standard of rock music is hard to beat. "Every Corner" is a ruthlessly vigorous metal tune, minus the growling. Spirited-gravel rock at it's very best. "1967" is a heavy-impact rock song. Songs like this are few and far between.
"Deleted Scenes" is a funky disco tune where a magical wood block beat and sweeping guitar riff dominate. The band reveals a totally different side to their music in this track; a subtler and more technically demanding side.
"Untitled" is a hard rock song of gargantuan magnitude. It brings the band back to the same style in which they started their EP, only now with a hugely dynamic and distorted twist to their unique brand of hard rock elation.
Mellotron Overdrive prove to have the makings of something special in this glimpse of hard rock heaven. Clearly this is one bandwagon worth jumping on.
