Matchbox 20 - These Hard Times
I was delighted when Rob Thomas went solo and created an amazing album with ‘…Something To Be.’ But, back to his roots he went with his creativity and inspiration and back to Matchbox Twenty.
When it comes to writing something that is going to have an impact on whoever listens to it, creating something that when stumbled across you sit back and listen to the end wondering who has created such a startling track, Matchbox Twenty are the ones responsible. This is a slow melodious number, a heart rocketing ballad. The guitars keep a steady beat, an anxious central striking element a caring atmosphere from start to finish. The vocals as always leave a listener wanting more and dreaming away to better days.
What you are left with is visions and expectations of better days for yourself. Matchbox Twenty has sold millions albums worldwide and I’m guessing there is plenty more to come.
