'Listen Then Leave' or listen again
Just as atoms collide to cause a spark, metal, rap and techno in one beaker of solution make one hell of an explosion. From the intense rock rhythm that blasts through on the first take, the track rages through for over three minutes, three well worth minutes.
It has been a while since I have heard something as original and forthcoming as ‘Listen Then Leave’, the new single form ADF Shift. The guitar riffs that rip through are hard hitting and close to hardcore but not quite hitting the nail on the head. The music has an electronic underpinning that when accompanied with the riffs and powerful vocals its hard to distinguish but pops up to say hello every now and again.
It’s the harmonies that float around the chorus that stand out for me. They make the song deeper in meaning and more enjoyable than just a track of harsh metal tones. The second track on the CD, ‘Over and Out’ is another volatile tune so get ready…
