One of the best live acts around.

There are several bands who have gained a heightened level of exposure and it has all been thoroughly unjustified, we can all name them. In direct contrast to this you have Turbowolf, who deserve absolutely everything they get at the moment as yet again tonight in Dingwalls they've proven to fans new and old that they are one of the most exciting live acts around at the moment. Should their rise continue to explode, it is probably unlikely that we'll be seeing them smashing these kind of intimate venues to pieces again as both their live performance and the reaction to their new material will push them into slightly larger venues for sure.

Similar to the Small Tour Of New Music the band used this tour to showcase the new material due out early next year. And very much like that run of shows, there is no band who are able to trigger the kind of response that they do with new material. You go to any gig, as the band introduce a new track the reaction will always be a little more subdued, but tonight some of these tracks were getting as big a reaction as the oldies. This all points to their phenomenal power and quality on stage. All four of them; Chris, Andy, Lianna and Blake bring such a ridiculous level of energy that you'd have to be soulless to not have it rub off on you. Two tracks in particular which really got the crowd going were Solid Gold and the newest single Rabbit's Foot which played back to back created a level of bedlam unprecedented across the rest of the night. It is always the case with Turbowolf gigs that as a show it is just so much fun to be a part of. Whether you're jumping around like a lunatic in the pit at the front or having a dance at the bar, there wasn't a single minute where there was even a slight lull in the atmosphere.

The band interact brilliantly with the crowd, and vice versa, and you'd hope so too because front man Chris was not messing about with getting stuck in on the crowd-surfing front tonight. Dingwalls is a unique venue in of itself, with the downhill tiered layout meaning everyone gets an excellent view. Stopping for a moment and scanning across the crowd, right to the back it was clear to see that everyone in the sold out venue was absolutely engaged, and with a live performance as good as this one, how could you not be?
