Weezer have returned, announcing a new album and huge tour ready to hit this Spring. As is commonplace in Weezer discography, the band's tenth studio album is self titled but we're more than sure it'll likely become known as "The White Album" due to it's cover art. The new album will be released on 1st April via self-release.
Responding to the questions "What are you most excited/proud of with this album", frontman Rivers Cuomo said the following: "I’m proud of the demented lyrics that are like, “What? Who says that? Who thinks that? What planet on am I on? I don’t know, but I kinda wanna stay!” Welcome to our planet, people! After twenty-four years, we still love being in this band and we wanna keep it going for at least another fourteen years."
Alongside the new album, the band have also announced an extensive tour which includes two very special UK dates:
3rd April - Manchester - Academy One
5th April - London - O2 Brixton Academy
Tickets for both dates will be going on sale this Friday (22nd January) and WILL go quickly so be ready!
