Smashing Pumpkins Benefit Gig

Smashing Pumpkins are set to play a benefit concert in Chicago to help raise money for Madina Lake bassist, Matthew Leone.

Leone was brutally attacked earlier this month and was left unconcsious on the street as he tried to help a woman who was being beaten by her husband. Having suffered severe head trauma, the Chicago based bassist was hosptialised and is currently awaiting further brain surgery. With his medical insurance having lapsed a mere two months prior, fund raising efforts have begun to help Leone including this new concert from Smashing Pumpkins.

The concert is set to take place in Chicago's Metro on July 27th with support coming from fellow Chicago band, Kill Hannah with a $10 raffle being just one way in which fans can get tickets.
