Onlookers - Canterbury Tales

After listening to ‘Canterbury Tales’ the debut track from four lads from Kent calling themselves Onlookers, repeatedly for about 30 minutes, the conclusion has set in that no matter how many times it plays there is going to be nothing in its effect on a listener that will change.

You get the occasional song that may not impress at the start but after a while begins to play on the mind with its chorus or makes your head bop to the annoying beat, but this song leaves a blank expression each and every time. With such a close-knit band, made up of brothers Dan (vocals/guitar) and Callum (drums) Norton, Jamie Darby (lead guitar) and Thomas Ford (bass), the steady pace of the song lacks imagination, creativity and momentum; it fails to make a listener want to hear more.
