The Vivians - Just Two Girls

‘Just Two Girls’ races into life with a riff that whips the listener up into a frenzied abandon, with double paced bass drum pounding away through a pogo rhythm. It is surely only a matter of time before it is ripping its way through rock clubs all over the country.

The reason though that I can be so sure of this is because it ticks all the boxes for what people seem to want from their current rock scene. The Vivians sound like a more rock ‘n roll version of White Lies, less interested in woe and depression and more keen to just have sex with anything that moves while drinking copious amounts of alcohol and stumbling from gig to gig.

This is no bad thing, as it is an exciting slant and natural progression from what is filling up the airwaves at the moment, but whether they have any long term appeal is another matter. As it stands ‘Just Two Girls’ is a good song, but only time will tell whether The Vivians have anything else up their sleeves to maintain valiant push into an audiences long term plans.
