Strawberry Rock, anyone?

According to Mr. Schenker and Mr. Pattison, the Jam is endless. This, on one level, is a rather exciting prospect. Fans of Scorpions and UFO might already be swayed enough to enjoy this album. However, coming from a more neutral viewpoint, the average listener might be hard pushed to really get into this.

One very urgent fact everyone must pick up on is this - If you like your music simple, favouring hooks and catches over solos, you might find The Endless Jam Continues incredibly dull and bland. However, on the other end of the scale, if you could care less about the formation of the song as long as the solos are played at the speed of light, you might be let down again. Enjoying this album is only possible if you are happy with mediocre solos and undefinative songs. Not to say there's nothing good here - the vocals are acceptable and a couple of the tracks, especially Beatles cover "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", are perfectly acceptable, but then efforts like Grateful Dead's "Dear Mr. Fantasy" are godawful cover attempts that leave the listener cold.

So, another concept cover album splits right down the middle. Hopefully, if there's a "The Endless Jam Continues Continues", there will be more "Rock Steady" tracks, and less "I'm Losing You" tracks.
