Stuck in your head Catchy, Danceable and FUN

'Stone In My Heart', the debut EP from producer/songwriter duo Graffiti6, is stacked with music alive with sunshiny personality. Rock 'n' roll meets dance with a healthy helping of infectious melodies and cheesy pop (yes cheesy pop! I have to say, without cynicism, that it's good for you in moderate doses!)

Quirky piano chords fuel the energy of 'Stone In My Heart'. Melodic guitar, romantic vocals and lyrics power love pop track 'Stop Mary'. These are solid, upbeat, danceable and fun tracks with a lively array of musical influences. (Though I don't like his fade out at the end of 'Stop Mary' - why do otherwise inspired musicians insist on ending with anti-climactic fade-outs?)

Choir vocals and hand claps give a joyful, sparkling gospel feel to 'Foxes', and an oversized bassy drum in the back with long, somewhat eerie reflected electro sound effects, add to the 'larger than life' result. You get the feeling that Graffiti6 is all about a good time.

'Starlight' is the purest disco-dance track on the album; with a strong melodic vocal line over catchy drum beats and shaker percussion, and falsetto vocals on the chorus paying homage to the classic Bee Gees disco anthem 'Night Fever'.

It's hard to categorise Graffiti6's sound. These are feel-good pop, dance, funk tracks, with throwbacks to classic soul and rock n roll. (Elvis' 'Rubberneckin' springs to mind.) Graffiti6 are quirky yet classy, poppy yet sophisticated and always unavoidably catchy.

Producer TommyD (who paired up with singer/songwriter Jamie Scott to create the Graffiti6 duo) sums it up: "It's music we genuinely believe will make people feel good about themselves. That has to start from us having fun. When we're not, we'll stop."

Let's hope you don't stop enjoying yourselves then boys!
