The Following Announcement-Jenny

Bristolian trio The Following Announcement dish out playful pop-punk tunes on their brand new EP 'Jenny'. The bubbly band, comprised of guitarist and vocalist Simon Bright, bassist Matt-James Davis and drummer Danny Watts, have a superbly sweet sound that is similar to that of Out Of Sight, The Wonder Years and All Time Low.

Bursting into life with title track and new single 'Jenny', the sugar-coated song, which sees Bright sing about his girl problems, provides punters with a catchy chorus along with upbeat and bouncy guitars.

'Star Crossed Lovers' is similarly satisfying in both style and sound and sees The Following Announcement offer another light-hearted song. With its vibrant verses and chirpy chorus, this cheery tune is guaranteed to be a hit at live shows.

Following suit is 'Who's Keeping Score', the tasty track features lively and likeable lyrics, infectious guitars and splendid gang vocals, which again will provide perfect singalongs at shows.

The enjoyable EP ends with an unanticipated acoustic version of 'Jenny' that showcases the softer side of the pop-punk band.

Whilst the Bristolian boys might not be serving up a brand spanking new sound on their latest record, it's clear to see and hear that the trio have upped their game since their debut album 'In Secret Places'. 'Jenny' is an excellent effort from The Following Announcement and will undeniably earn them a shed load of fans.
