Six Foot Flames Demo

You know how the Darkness were a cheesy fad? They apparently brought back the 80's big rock sound? Pah! This may be a demo, but Six Foot Flames, are well on their way.

The band have a very distinctive eighties gritty rock sound, in the vein of AC/DC and Guns 'n' Roses - you can practically taste the excess and extravagance that is littered throughout "Reheated City Blues". This track, by far the strongest song on this demo, shows great promise for the serious revival of motor rock.

The song "Another Way" is a little less in your face than the previous track but still catchy and laden with drawn out Slash-esque guitar riffs that compliment the heartfelt lyrics so often not found in this kind of music whilst staying close to the genre's hard rocking roots. No mean feat for a demo.

The last track on the CD, "Worst Enemy", is slightly repetitive - carrying on along the same path as the first two songs whilst maintaining a level of gritty rock that Velvet Revolver would have trouble keeping up with.

Like a young Guns 'n' Roses, Six Foot Flames have produced a highly charged rock CD. It is probably one of the best demos I have come across in a long time with production that manages to bring across the power of songs that feel as if they'd normally need to be seen live.

Keep an eye on these guys as I can pretty much assure you their live show will blow you away. Catch this London three piece before they start taking over stadiums world wide.
