When Giants Collide - No One Is Safe

West Yorkshire's When Giant Collide formed at the end of 2008, and have now recorded their debut EP No One Is Safe.

The EP was originally scheduled to be released in early 2010 but was delayed due to a line-up change, two years later the five-track release is finally available.

Musically, the band are strong, they sound tight, the drumming is strong, the riffs are strong, but vocally I have no idea what is going on. I'm sorry to say this is the worst vocal styling I have heard in a long time, and it ruins the whole EP. Ditch the singer and When Giants Collide might be onto something.

The band report that they pull their influences from Meshuggah and Fear Factory, but don't let that fool you; When Giants Collide have nothing on either band. As previously said, musically it is good - the band are talented, but the vocals are awful and I cannot get past them. All I can tell you about No One Is Safe is I will not be listening to it again.
