A Brand New Breed is exactly the term I'd use to describe Peepshow!

Peepshow, not the hit channel 4 series but the new band hailing from Scotland to challenge the music of today, to take a stand and say, this is us! Love it!

Wake Up gives a great intro to the album, really gives you a feel for it. Then Let Go starts, the keyboard at the beginning is almost Phantom of the Operaesque accompanied by a guitar and rocking drums. The singing is something that cannot be contrasted to anything in the music scene at the moment which is an amazing breath of fresh air, not only are the vocals eerily beautiful but there's also elements of screaming involved as well, which is a great contrast. The chorus of this song isn't amazingly intricate but it gets you singing along and that's all that really matters in the end.

The next song Live Free or Die is hopefully not a homage to the most recent appauling Die Hard film, if such an amazing song was inspired by such a washed up film series then I will be disappointed. It starts once again with a great piano introduction that really gets bouncy, before sinking into the dirty depths of rock. 'You've got the stars in your eyes, live free or die' a lyric that will be in your head for hours after listening to this very infectious song. Concluding with another epic guitar solo and the chorus one last time with an almost Axl Rose pitch to it...back when Axl Rose was cool, this is definitely a song to look out for when it hits the radio waves.

The album continues on in its epicness producing such great songs as Trouble and Only A Dream which are both as infectious as the last. This album is just one of those that gets in your head and takes your brain for a ride with amazing melodies and great lyrics.

All or Nothing has a funky opening, almost making me relive the days I played Sonic the Hedgehog as a kid. Once again I'm blown away by the vocals that Peepshow has, so unique and pitch perfect. The only issue with this song is that it builds up for a huge drop and...doesn't quite deliver, still a fantastic song though.

Feed on Me displays the same rocky guitars as the rest of the songs, but somehow manages not to be boring. This song hits the middle of the album and so far there has not been one disappointing song. Once again this track has got a brilliantly catchy chorus, from the lyrics it's based on some kind of vampire story but the good ol' fashioned hardcore vampires, ya know the ones that don't sparkle.

Irreversible slows the album right down and gives it a new light, it's almost a love ballad within an album of hard rock. A beautiful song with amazing lyrics. While it's nice to slow down an album with a soft song it's always nice to go back to the rock that makes an album great! Suffer , Romance is Dead and Waking the Dead do this quite well.

The last song on the album Follow Your Instincts starts off silently which is always an indication of a great song, like 30 Seconds to Mars' Closer to the Edge it slowly builds up and then the vocals come, accompanied by a marching drum beat and finally the amazing guitar work that's been heard all the way through. This isn't really a song but more of a message to people 'We are the masses, we will divide' an odd way to finish off the album but it leaves a great message with the listener, to stand up and be heard as a mass.

Peepshow is one of those albums that just blows you away, if you like rock music put together with awesome keyboards and amazing vocals then I suggest you pick up this album!
