In Clear Sight

What else would you expect from an album entitled Fuck Fairytales, This is Reality but some death metal! Good old fashioned heavy music to make your head explode and make your body kick shit over as you do a one man circle pit in your room. This is In Clear Sight and they have a lot to offer in ways of music, unfortunately for this reviewer the sound just gets too old too fast.

Intro starts with a gimmick that a lot of bands have used on their albums, the sound of static giving the sense of a post-apocalyptic world where there is no communication from anyone and then creeping in it is heard, the metal revolution come to take back the world and then it's gone again but it comes back with a vengeance until finally the song fully kicks in and we're taken on a rollercoaster ride of intense music!

Divinity kicks off with the words '2011 eleven mother fuckers' aside from the obvious fact that this will be released in 2012 it's still an amazing way to start the song. The tune is intense and the vocals are just out of this world, together they create such an amazing sound that demand you pay attention, this isn't one of those songs where they want you to think 'yeah it's okay' they want to rip your ears open with their music and show that they do a fucking good job!

I listened to the rest of the album with a very open mind and tried to review each song individually but after a while I realised I was always talking about the same stuff, riffs, melody, vocals and in the end while they are quite incredible musically, the dynamic they use just gets old fast, metal is good but after a while it starts to become a quest of trying to understand what they're singing about rather than enjoying the music.

In Clear Sight are definitely a must listen for old school death metal fans, it has a lot to offer, but for everyone else I'd say give it a miss, it doesn't really offer anything but death metal. The Belgium six piece have definitely got something to offer, just for a very specific target audience.
