Listen up. Jonny Scaramanga can't sing

Listen is a new album from Jonny Scaramanga inspired by many artists among them are Cheap Tricks and The Beach Boys the melody that is produced is fantastic, good beats to really get you moving, however the ending result when combined with Jonny's voice is a disaster.

After a few minutes I don't want to Listen anymore. The beats are catchy enough and the songs could have some real potential if Jonny himself could hold a note throughout his entire CD.

Not only is the singing terrible throughout, Jonny even tries at some points to sound like Steven Tyler from Aerosmith and at other points trying to have a The Strokes sound and he fails miserably. He can't really decide who he wants to sound like and that more than anything puts a hindrance on the record. The lyrics are all very simplistic and don't go above any other level than loving a girl and wanting to be with her, don't get me wrong some music like that is fantastic but in this dynamic it's so dull and boring.

She's A Stranger is the only song that really stands out off the whole album because it sounds a little bit more rocky and breaks away from the other songs he has done. Aside from that this album is quite disappointing.

Jonny Scaramanga might appeal to other people's tastes as everyone has different opinions, that's a solid fact, but for me this didn't cut the mustard. For an album that only has six songs it seemed to drag on a lot. Amazing guitar and drum playing, Jonny just lets himself down by...opening his mouth, maybe he should go away, refine his sound and really think about what sound he wants and maybe take a few singing lessons before he tries again.
