INXS - Kick (25th Anniversary addition)
INXS are celebrating the 25th anniversary of Kick; the album that brought them international fame, by rereleasing it in a deluxe format.
The super deluxe addition will include the original album, two addition discs including remixes, demos and unheard tracks. As well as a DVD, a hardback book and more.
Back in 1987 Kick sold over six million copies and spawned hit such as New Sensation, Mystify, and Never Tear Us Apart. As well as the classic hits, the rerelease also offers fans the opportunity to hear material that was recorded for Kick featuring the late Michael Hutchence.
The Kick Super Deluxe Edition will be a wonderful piece for any fan of INXS, especially as it features unseen and unheard work from Hutchence. The book will also feature unseen handwritten lyrics from the charismatic singer who sadly passed in 1997.
The rerelease is also bound to bring a lot of new fans into the fold, who perhaps are not familiar with the Australian sensation. The songs on Kick sound as good today as they ever have, showing the true longevity of INXS and their musicianship, song writing skills and the quality production of the album.
The 25th anniversary addition of Kick is a wonderful celebration of Australia's biggest musical export. It's just a shame that Michael Hutchence isn't around to be part of the celebrations.
