Sweet pop-rock
Nice solid dual male/female fronted pop-rock tunes on Save Ends EP, right from the start of opener Time and Tarnish with its straightforward but anthemic guitars and piano what you get is tunes filled with energy, bouncy beats and heartfelt lyrics.
The dual vocal attack works very well especially on tracks like Sweet Defeat where it adds a nice layer of emotion to the package and on Resurrection Hub they harmonise in a very effective way. The female vocals may be on the sugary for some tastes but they do work well with the sweet poppy tunes and are counteracted well by their (slightly) gruffer counterpart.
This is one for fans of The Get Up Kids and Saves The Day, so basically very poppy but also with that emo edge giving you tons of heart and great sing along melodies that challenge you not to get involved.
