Knievel Genius - Inertia Kills Youth

London based Knievel Genius are set to take on the UK with the release of their debut album; Inertia Kills Youth.

Intertia Kills Youth opens with Cons:Execution; a bass heavy slab of solid rock. Musically it's simple but hard hitting and confident, it's nice to hear a band that aren't trying to blow the listener away with technical ability but have focused on creating a decent rock track rather than an epic guitar solo. This is a perfect opening track and gives you an insight into what Knievel Genius are all about.

Daylight is my standout track of the album; it's raw and punchy, as soon as it starts playing it sucks you in. You know that at a live show, this is the track that is going to make the whole crowd freak out, not leaving a still body in the house.

Every song is performed well both musically and vocally, frontman Pat's voice is not the most powerful voice in rock but it works well with the band's gritty sound, however, there are points where he sounds close to being overpowered by the music. While Inertia Kills Youth isn't ground breaking but it's a solid debut effort. The Knievel Genius boys clearly know what works well for them and they have stuck to that throughout the album.
