I Think I'm Turning Japanese

It's not often we get to cross paths with am all girl band from Germany and even rarer still when that all girl band proceed to sing their tracks in Japanese. Not that this bizarre twist makes one ounce of difference, my German stops short at knowing what a Curry Wurst is and that has never stopped me absolutely loving Germany's best export, Rammstein. Now, on the basis of this release, there is a new German band to love, unSayn.

Officially being released as a single for Dear Fuckers but in my mind the other 2 tracks, Sex Sells and Nozomi deserve equal billing, you are getting 3 quality tracks for your money here.

The minute long intro hints towards an industrial feel and builds nicely into lead track Dear Fuckers which with its heavy riffs, angry feel, aggressive vocals and even the play between guitars and bass during the interlude makes Dear Fuckers one hell of an introduction to unSayn.

Sex Sells is just a full on head banging metal track, fast, relentless and the perfect measure of screams. Even has a fairground dream feel to it.

Nozomi, which means "Hope" in Japanese, is a slow builder, starting life as a ballad but it's powerful and building all the way through its 4 minute life to something very powerful. Not understanding the lyrics means the vocals and music have to be extremely good to make a track like this work and they are!

You can feel the emotion flowing through every word and beat of every song. Proving once and for all that unSayn have the talent, the power, the poise, the style and above all the perfect combination as a group to become Germany's next big export. All 5 members contribute to the tracks and make you wishing they were from over here.

Can't wait to see unSayn live in the UK hopefully one day soon - let's hope they have some songs in English for us!
