Forever Lost until we found The Magic Numbers
The sound of my new favourite band, I love this music and by dammit-hell it's hard not to. So infectious and refreshing, their songs hit you with a positive outlook and inject happy feelings straight into your brain, certainly one of the best and most original uplifting sounds to come out of music in years and years and years and years. Bring on the album baby.
'Forever Lost' is a chirpy and speedy affair running away with your heart listen after listen. Those sweet loving vocals over the perfect guitars and bass create something so spectacular you're left awe-struck, mouth ajar and thanking the celestial clouds above for The Magic Numbers. With the little vocal interlude in the middle followed by a great mini soft riff underneath the voice, rather reminiscent of their previous single (and definite top ten entry for best song ever written) 'Hymn For Her', the song empowers emotions in the listener that have withered away over the years through corrosive overuse of our all-too-common senses of cynicism and pessimism. This is a band that gets you on your feet and when you're on your feet there's nothing left to do but dance... So dance!
