Megapoptastic...

I challenge you not to like this. Yes, you.

It’s pop at its finest. Single 'Seems Fine' features an irresistible brass section leading the way, before the vocals enter with heaps of luscious Scandinavian charm. The Concretes know how to write music that will, quite simply, appeal to anyone with a sense of fun. It’s just... happy.

The B-side on this release starts a bit like a ska-light version of 'Living In A Glasshouse' by Radiohead, but soon develops into something distinctly Concretes. The brass is again a feature, though perhaps not as much as in the single, and as usual you just can’t prevent that smile appearing when the uplifting chorus hits.

There’s no tack, no cheese, no image-consciousness here. It’s just pure, perfected pop music. Lose your prejudices about commercial music, and you’ll love this.
