U2 On The Make

The third single from their highly successful eleventh studio album 'How To Dismantle An Atom Bomb'. If you have listened to the radio recently, you will have no doubt heard this single, as it has been on all the play lists for the last couple of weeks, and seems to be appearing on all the radio shows.

It's probably not one of their best songs they have ever done, when you compare it to any of the songs from their back catalogue. But this single clearly shows U2's - and in particular Bono's - love affair with New York City. The video for this single was filmed on a flat bed truck, which drove through New York and then stopped at the park on the side of Brooklyn Bridge, where they gave a free gig.

If you are new fan of U2's (in the last ten years) you will no doubt love this, if, like myself, you have been a fan since 'Boy' you will be disappointed, as this is another example of how they have finally sold out to the American market and are making totally uninspiring music.
