A pretty, acoustic number, full of wistful charm.

Supergrass' fifth studio album 'Road To Rouen' marked a step away from the brash Brit-pop of their earlier days, and instead saw the band turning towards a more mature acoustic sound, for which they deservedly received much praise and critical acclaim. After showcasing their new sound with the stunning 'St Petersburg', Supergrass return with their second single from the album, the equally beautiful, 'Low C'.

'Low C's' gentle melody and bouncing piano gives the song a pleasant, grown-up sound, while the pretty instrumental version of the track, which is also included here, accentuates the song's wistful charm and leaves you with a warm glow inside.

Whilst it may not be as instantly hummable as the anthemic 'St Petersburg', 'Low C's folky twist and mature sound make it a great track that will continue to grow on you the more you listen. If you missed Supergrass' series of intimate acoustic shows, you can still catch them as they embark on a full electric show in October.
