Sexy, chilled-out gospel from cult favourites

Brixton based trio Alabama 3 soon developed a cult following with their original mix of country and western meets acid house before leaping into mainstream consciousness by providing the theme song to hit T.V show, 'The Sopranos'. Now the band return with their new single, 'The Gospel Train'.

As singer Larry Love's sexy, gravely vocals open the track they provide an interesting yet effective accompaniment to the more traditional gospel-sounding backing vocals. Meanwhile, the picked acoustic guitar and elegant strings provide a sweet, warm country feel, whilst chilled out dance beats and spaced out sounds add to the track's cool, relaxed vibe.

'The Gospel Train' won't fail to delight cult followers of the band and will surely impress and attract new fans with its soulful, laid back sound. Look out for the band on their UK tour this month and the release of the live DVD, 'Hear the Train a Comin'.
