Clearlake - Good Clean Fun

Quite what Clearlake's idea of good clean fun is one is not entirely sure but presumably, for most, listening to the same instrumental riff on loop for just under four minutes is about as far away from that notion as can be. With only the scuzziest of guitar solos to break things up, exactly what the band hope to achieve by releasing this shoe gazer is a mystery because the results add up to nothing positive at all.

Vocally, the rather monotone lead line is drenched in harmony and reverb managing only to add to the increasing sense of frustration that grows as the song progresses. Ending in a fade out akin to a whimper this is a single that should never have been one and a song that will do absolutely nothing for Clearlake's career or reputation. Boring at best, a sheer waste of time and money at worst.
