Selladore - Slave

The blurb that came with the EP made me smirk. "The right chops are always important when choosing a Drummer" it says. Pork or lamb? I pondered. What if he's vegetarian? I do worry about the diet of the nation. That very Drummer (sic.) is called James Dean, I hope he's a careful driver.

Selladore were formed in 2003 from the ashes of Violent Delight and Vex Red. They played their first gig in August 2005 and have Kerrang! labelling them the next big thing. That's about 75 bands who will be fighting for the title then.

I find it hard to really like them. On one hand they've got a tight band playing pretty good melodic rock sounding more than a puny little 3 piece.

They top this off with the same old shouty bloke vocals that you've heard in about twenty-five rock bands this week. Boring. If they ditched him, they'd be a goer in my books.
