Decorate your lives with a bit of this band this summer, good stuff right here

This is an employment-oriented era in music; we've got Kaiser Chief's album 'Employment', we've got Ordinary Boys nine-to-fivin' it, we've got The Rakes and their '22,000 Job' and now we've got Decoration with a 'Job In London'. There's a pattern emerging, but so what?

'Job In London' is the split A-side with 'Candidate', a song so good you don't think whether they're conforming to some jobby zeitgeist or not... it's a fun-filled tune that harks back to days when the singer in a band gave it 'is all and the others backed 'im up with their all too...

Two words describe Stuart Murray's vocals on the record and they are 'Lee' and 'Mavers'. He sounds just like the formidable Liverpoodlian La's singer and it's a voice you just want to grab a hold of and cuddle. When the chorus-line hits he sings "In the eighties..." in his best Morrissey, which appeals to my sense of humour, but probably wasn't that intentional...

AA 'Job In London' starts off nice and sweet and is a quality tune that thrives at the end in a crescendo of hard-poppy noise, it's a Northern soul sunshiny record that's reminiscent of time when the music was good and it made you wanna go play footie in the street.
