iLiKETRAiNS - Terra Nova
iLiKETRAiNS release their new single "Terra Nova" this is an interesting release about Captains Scott's doomed 1912 Antarctic expedition set to an orchestra of grand guitars.
The haunting vocals on this track engulf you; the track has a blissful charm in its sharpness. On the second track "Fram" the Leeds lads continue on the expedition theme, now telling the story of Hjalmar Johansen, who was ousted from the celebrated Norwegian team that went on to beat Scott and his men in the race for the pole.
iLikeTRAiNS have a spell bounding quality about them, it must be due to the mix of mournful guitars and murderous vocals, plus the fact that this two tunes seem to have more heart and soul than the whole top 40 put together.
