A Refreshing Change

Mancunian hardcore trio LAP have been on the music scene for a few years, now they're releasing their EP "Life Among People".

This release is packed full of songs about real situations rather than the typical three minute radio friendly songs about being dumped; take 'Sit Back' for example, a song about the band's hatred towards the government, war, racists and stubborn people. The band's sound is heavy and fast, but track six 'A Joke Goes Wrong' sees the guys slow things down, only to pick up really quickly for the chorus, which goes to show that LAP can turn their hand to anything. The EP closes with a really fast track with screamo vocals and heavy riffs, it seems that 'The Velvet Soft Voice Of A Music Legend' is the perfect way to close.

LAP seem to have a clear idea of the direction they wish to go in and credit should go to them for making sure that this EP had the financial backing needed to see the light of day, and giving us a break from the mainstream fodder that appears every other day.
