The New Invasion Force

It's been two years since the release of their self-titled debut, since which time Kasabian have sold over 700,000 records in the UK and were seemingly the band to see at many of last year's festivals. Although 'creative differences' saw the departure of founding guitarist Chris Karloff, the band are back and ready to continue to conquer the world with the release of 'Empire', in anticipation of their new album of the same name.

When asked to describe the single, lead singer Tom Meighan's instant response was, "Marc Bolan smoking crack with Dr. Who". Hmm, sounds like your typical far-fetched artist speak, right? Think again - he couldn't be any closer to the mark. When the dirty bass line lollops in, it takes only a moment before you realise that its dark, swirling sounds share an uncanny resemblance to a certain recently-revitalised sci-fi TV show, coupled with swaggering, glam-tastic riffs, glitter-drenched vocals and foot-stomping beats fused, which together create a single that will surely continue to see the band causing sonic waves throughout the music industry.

The single will be available on CD, DVD and 10 inch vinyl from all good download sites. Look out for Kasabian on tour across the UK in December.
