Extra-terrestrial action that's sure to leave you 'Happy.'

Rising from the ashes of The Beta Band, The Aliens have unleashed the bounciest slice of upbeat pop of the year just in time for the autumnal leaves, so the sense of nearly and what might have been that dogged The Beta Band is still alive and kicking.

With a surf-esque guitar solo that would surely invoke 60's style beach dancing, the track throws its positive side at the listener from start to finish and if it was any more infectious, an antidote jag would be available free on the NHS.

If you wish to be picky there may be the feeling that there isn't that much to the song, and of course the repeated cry of "Happy" may eventually start to grate but at this moment in time, the "ba ba baa" backing vocals are perfectly suited for light-hearted fun.

Given lead singer Gordon Anderson's troubled past, some may say the track is meant in an ironic manner or it may be a case of him throwing himself into a positive manner, either way, the tinkling keyboard and breakneck pace of the whole track leaves the listener in a buoyant state.

If you come across The Aliens, welcome them as they certainly come in peace.
