The Broken Family Band - You're Like A Woman
Cambridgeshire quartet, The Broken Family Band, return with their latest single 'You're Like A Woman' from their album 'Balls'.
'You're Like A Woman' has a country feel to it, although it features punky guitars and dual vocals to drive the lyrics about tackling first date nerves, all delivered with style and wit. 'You're Like A Woman' has been reworked for this single release and has a more rougher, punked-up feel to it incomaprison to the version on 'Balls'. 'Gavin's Dead' is a bit of a mickey take song, but what the band don't mention is they're singing about a rabbit and not the bass player. This release also features a nice folk styled song, 'Poor Little Thing' from the 'Jesus Songs' EP, which has a bittersweet chorus and is aimed at an insensitive heartbreaker.
