Definitely more than enough!
"Argh my ears, make it stop... pleassssssssssssseeeeeeeee nooooooooooooo!!!!!!!" was my first reaction upon hearing 'More Than Enough' the new single from Jamie Pearce. Somehow scientists have managed to splice the DNA of James Blunt with Savage Garden to make this truly terrifying single.
Other reviewers would have tossed this in the rubbish promo bin without a moments notice but yours truly is a pro (well, kinda) who put himself through all three minutes and three seconds of this inane nonsense just for you. That kids is what you call dedication or perhaps sado-masochism. In a nutshell this release ticks all the right boxes beloved of those generic DJ's at your local commercial radio station. There's acoustic guitars produced to within an inch of their life, a sweeping string arrangement designed to add a bit of gravitas and then Pearce's irritatingly reedy vocals which swoop and soar over a plodding drum machine backing track. Life is too short to waste words bemoaning yet another M.O.R. acoustic plodder so I'm going to put my words to better use elsewhere.
