A Rocking Landing

This is misleading. I had previously never heard of The Aliens and their name instantly sent my mind into a whirlwind of distorted images of silver jump suits worn my techno-loving space geeks who love nothing more than a battered synthesiser and a good old rave up. But I was horribly mistaken.

In preparation for the release of their debut album, released March 19th, the three young Scots will be releasing their infectious new single, "Setting Sun". From the drop of a hat, the Aliens new single sounds distinctly like some 70's, retro rock and roll song with a very "All Along The Watch Tower" feel to it.
There are a series of powerfully melodic vocals that ring throughout the chorus of "just like the setting sun" and the surprising incendiary guitars prove to be a healthy and sturdy backbone to the song.

But as all is going so swimmingly an illogical chant of "we are the aliens" closes the track and I was left wondering why they would put this unfittingly and obscure ending into such a sturdy piece of modern rock music?
