The debut single from the People's Revolutionary Choir

Well it certainly has that choral sound to it, that's for sure. "The Breeze That Blows" sounds like a performance in a railway tunnel. It has that echoing feeling with plenty of cymbals in the background to give you that "good-time" feeling. The vocals are sung from the top of the lungs and the whole track screams of wannabie summer old-time anthems. The guitar solo is "twangy", naturally.

"The People's Revolutionary Choir" describe themselves as Psychedelic rock and I suppose there's the warbling of the wah-wah almost everywhere but really, it isn't rock. It's too slow and sleepy. It's certainly closer to Indie. "Lost and Found" is much slower than the first track which is impressive. The harmonica isn't played in a funky way; it's solidly in the slow blues realm. In fact, the track could be described as Indie-Blues. There you go. I claim the rights to this newly coined phrase.

Yep, you guessed it! There's even a little bit or organ in there too. And it all comes together rather nicely. I regret to use the word nice but that's what it is. Easy on the ears, relaxing but not aggressive or fun. It'll do for a summer night's BBQ when everyone is pleasantly wasted on too much booze. It wont blow your socks off, but then this band doesn't seem to want to do that anyway. It's a good sound and maybe with some more time, there'll be a few gems from this band.
