A Little Too Samey To Be Exciting

Pigeon Detectives fan favourite, 'I'm Not Sorry' is a bright indie tune with ringing guitar notes clashing with brash chords and fiery vocals in a busy, upbeat number that's repetitive, but catchy as the plague. While it's a fun and frisky piece of raging indie pop, 'I'm Not Sorry' does little to break the conventions of the indie scene, maintaining a steady style and sounding a little too similar to plenty of other purveyors of bubbly, bright numbers out there. Nevertheless, if you stick with it, 'I'm Not Sorry' will soon be partying its way around your head with its frantic, apologetic chorus sticking like glue. "You're not pleased til you draw blood, I don't hit back but I think I should", lash out the vocals during the cool and collected verse.

The Pigeon Detectives certainly know how to stir up a crowd pleaser, as I can see the suddenly frenzied chorus of 'I'm Not Sorry' whisking the audience into a frenzy at live shows, but on record it's just a little too similar to the rest of the chart fodder.
