American rock

From Autumn to Ashes (FATA) are playing download this year so I'm sure a huge number of people will be able to see for themselves what this American band are like. Unless no one goes obviously in which case there will be a huge empty field and some very confused bands!

'Pioneers' is taken from their new album 'Holding A Wolf By The Ears' and an energetic track it is too, blending hardcore with lots of melody it makes an easy to listen to rock track you can swing your pants to, I can imagine it going down a bomb at Download if they run about the stage with reckless abandon.

The song itself seems to be about the Old West and the slaughter of the Indians which is a strange choice for a hardcore track but the video for this song is about a lottery in a factory where the 'winner' gets a drill in the head so I'm lost, how about you?

Anyway, like I said it's a cross between hardcore and general melodic American rock which should be great live, it's not very mature music it's more for the kids to jump about to which I imagine is exactly what they want. Not going to set the world alight but not bad either.
